Atlas Games' Latest: Gloom of Thrones

Glorious cabal,
We at Atlas Games wished to alert you, our beloved supporters, to our most recent Kickstarter campaign. From the frozen lands of the Snarks to the intrigue-plagued domain of the Bannisters, one truth echoes: Gloom is coming…
That's right, we're crowdfunding a parody mash-up game of the bestselling Gloom (by RPG author Keith Baker) and Game of Thrones. We'd love for you to stop in and check it out here.
The object of the game is to make your characters as miserable as possible before finally delivering them to the sweet respite of death. Like Unknown Armies, Gloom of Thrones is about broken people trying to get what they want in a broken world. However, in Gloom of Thrones, you get to be the cause of the misery, instead of trying to mitigate it. The campaign is fully funded with 11 days to go, and we’ve already unlocked additional stretch goal Character cards. There’s more transparent misery to be had, though, between now and the end of the campaign on April 29th.
If you have a moment, take a look or pass it along to a fan of storytelling games, the source material, or Gloom itself.
Cheers!
Team Atlas
P.S. This update is a promotion for a game we think you’ll be interested in. If you’re not, and you’d rather not get these kinds of updates in the future, here’s how to unsubscribe from further updates. The Unknown Armies campaign is totally fulfilled, so you won’t miss out on crowdfunding updates going forward.

Greg Stolze's TERMINATION SHOCK

Beloved cabal,
It is once again with great pride and not at all because of veiled threats of psychological or occult trauma that we pass along this important information.
Greg Stolze, familiar to many of you, has launched another Kickstarter for his roleplaying game of science fiction and intergalactic consequences, TERMINATION SHOCK. We are told that it is what you need if you are interested in the far future of human-alien interactions. You may have heard of it? Now it is heading to print.
The link is up there in the word TERMINATION SHOCK but we have repeated it in this line, as well, in case you missed it.
Peace and cosmic misunderstanding,
Cam and the Unknown Armies team
Greg Stolze’s Assorted Disasters!

Hello, Unknown Armies backers! Cam and John have graciously given me an opportunity to cross-promote another Kickstarter project, one entirely relevant to UA.
ASSORTED DISASTERS is now live. I’m raising money to underwrite the release of short stories, most of which are about real bad things going down. The first story, EGREGORE, is funding at a good clip, but you may be more interested in the second story, Wednesday Night Drugs Club. It’s a story about four friends who meet every other week to get wrecked, and that’s sustainable until they run across something that is not the psilocybin they were promised. Pursuing the mysterious (and mystic!) drug Real Estate leads them down a rabbit-hole of escalating weirdness. Sound familiar? Maybe like a UA cabal? That’s because Wednesday Night Drugs Club is an Unknown Armies story, written entirely by yours truly.
If you’re interested in a fairly long short story (“a long short story? PARADOX DETECTED!”) sharing a setting with your favorite game of mystic obsessives, please navigate over to ASSORTED DISASTERS and give it a look. Thanks!
-G.
P.S. If you spread the word to literally everyone you know, that would also help a lot.
Greg Stolze returns to Reign!

Beloved cabal,
Many of you may be aware that Unknown Armies co-creator Greg Stolze kicked off the RPG Kickstarter craze with a little book called the Reign Enchiridion, a digest-sized version of his RPG REIGN. This game, powered by the One Roll Engine that also appears in RPGs such as Godlike, NEMESIS, and Wild Talents, presents a fantasy roleplaying system that scales up from individual characters hacking, slashing, and exploring their way through the world to armies, mercenary companies, and kingdoms.
REIGN is back in a new Kickstarter from Greg that, if you're a fan of his unique approach to RPGs and game text, you owe it to yourself to check out. It's in the last week of the campaign and it's already well-funded past its goal so it's a sure-thing to back. Go check it out and tell 'em the New Inquisition sent you.
Peace,
Cam and the UA Production Crew
PS: Also, it's a hair over 24 hours until the end of the Over the Edge Kickstarter, which is also a sure-thing, so go check that one out if you haven't yet!
